Na Leo was accompanied onstage by the Na Hanu `O Ku`uleialoha Hula Halau, under the direction of kumu hula Ku`ulei Gumapac.  Contact her site  E-mail:    She originally from Kaneohe, HI. currently resides in Kent, WA. As a student of hula, she has studied under Bella Richards and Leialoha Kamakawiwo`ole. As a member of Na Lei `O Kaholoku, she twice competed in the prestigious Merrie Monarch Hula Festival in Hilo in 1982 and 1983.

At the very beginning of the concert, the MC introduced Na Leo to the audience and commented saying "there are three songs that are so special from Hawaii that they affect your soul, and make you long for the islands. One is the song you just heard.. "I miss you my Hawaii," the next is "Honolulu City Lights" and the third is "These Islands" by Danny Couch. You've just enjoyed one of them" It made me smile all night!

What's in their CD players?
Kalima-Heine: "Negotiations and Love Songs: 1971-1986" -- Paul Simon. "It's the best of Paul Simon. You know how many really good songs that guy has? I listened to the whole thing in my car. Everything from "Loves Me Like A Rock‚" to "You Can Call Me Al."

Choy: "Never Gonna Stop" ˜ Tommy Walker. "He's a contemporary Christian recording artist. I'm performing a Good Friday outreach for my church, so I've been listening to and singing a lot of his songs."

Morales: "Brother Noland and a mixed CD of Jawaiian, reggae and Hawaiian music. You name it, it's on there. My son has his own band, and they're trying to groom themselves. It's all I'm listening to right now."
