Danny Couch Wins Internet Radio Artist of the Year! 4-04

First up at the Awards Presentation Show was Aloha Joe presenting the Peoples Choice By Popular Vote Award to Danny Couch.

Danny reciprocated by presenting Joe with the Compilation of the Year Award.

       Newest Award in the Hawaii Music Awards

The Yellow Brick Road lead to the Hawaiian Village instead of OZ this year.. although it is actually called The TAPA Room (photo is the famous Rainbow Tower)..  Our Favorite Music Artists headed to the Awards Presentation Sunday April 4th to receive their well deserved recognition.

Unfortunately there was no Internet Broadcast this year of the HMAwards.

Proceeds benefited the Music Foundation of Hawaii, a nonprofit organization
in support of music in the schools and the music industry.



SPECIAL APPEARANCE AND PERFORMANCE BY:
Douglas Spotted Eagle / First Native American Music Grammy winner (1999) will give a brief lecture on the impact of the Native American Music Grammy on their music community that will help to shed some light on the efforts for a Hawaiian Music Grammy Award. Douglas performed two native American pieces featuring keyboardist Meade Steadman from the world renown Contemporary Jazz Group "Tranquil Touch".
