The air was electric as the crowd, many on folding chairs, awaited Elvis’s arrival. Many of the young women seemed to be in a state of near-delirium. Elvis had just finished being televised on the Ed Sullivan show, where he’d been photographed from the waist up, to protect America’s youth from his pelvic gyrations and, perhaps, little old ladies from leaving their husbands. The historic
day for the Pac NW was Sept. 1, 1957, when Elvis Presley played the Lincoln Bowl
in Tacoma."

Looked forward to seeing Danny Vernon as Elvis and Marsha as Ann Margaret
again at our car show and shine again this year! Had a chance to meet many of Danny's
fans and followers, it was another great time! Beautiful cars,
motorcycles, rods, kickin tires, we even had an authentic stagecoach
all finishing the afternoon with the Best Elvis Tribute Artist, Illusion
of Elvis, Danny himself back by popular demand! Private function at the Testa Ohana Port Orchard WA. after the car show!

ELVIS WEEK, Celebrating The King Being Gone For 30 Years! If you got a chance to go to Red Wind Casino Aug. 14 you would have been met by a FULL HOUSE one hour+ before the show.. Capacity Crowd to the MAXX (they actually closed the doors after all seats and most of the standing-room-only spaces were filled). It was outstanding however!!! YOU WOULD HAVE ALSO ENJOYED Danny's Special Elvis Celebration with Full Band The De' Vills, Double Trouble Dancers and Marsha, the fabulous redhead as Ann Margaret. Danny and Marsha, and the Da' Vills (band consisting of, lead guitar, bass guitar, organist, drummer and awesome sax player) The band was ritchous!! Together they put on a two hour extravaganza for Elvis's 30th Anniversary of his "HAVING LEFT THE HOUSE" FOR THE LAST TIME and Departure from his fans! Danny and Marsha did it like only The Illusion of Elvis could. Danny did all three 50's, 60's decked out in leather ladies, and 70's (a-la-fringe) Marsha, gorgeous as ever shimmied and shaked her way into our hearts once again. She even did a bit of solo work by singing the "Bad Boy" Jerry Lee Lewis, while stroling the audience for volunteers??? between sets. Go girl go! All in all it was an outstanding night at the Red Wind, as always!!!!! Danny and Marsha still have a full schedule of shows for Elvis Week, including The Northern Lights Casino, The Emerald Queen Casino and two Country Fairs. We're looking forward to the next performance and Danny's return to The Christian Life Church Car Show (back by popular demand) later this month as well as a private gig to some new Elvis~Danny Vernon first timers! Vernon creates the "Illusion of Elvis" from many years of admiration of
Elvis Presley. He has sought to create a show that will hold the
excitement of Elvis on stage. "I try to recapture the charisma and sex
appeal that helped spark a new direction in popular culture. In addition,
I also aspire to
show respect and support the integrity of the man and his music."

Danny has been professionally performing his Elvis show for 4 years and
has performed everywhere from casinos to convention centers. He is
currently associated with and performing with the "Ripley's Believe It Or
Not" national Marilyn Monroe Look-a-like, Karen Motherway. His show can be
performed alone or with back-up singers. You can also see him perform with
Ann
Margaret, The Blues Brothers, Sammy Davis Jr. and others.
