Reknown Celebrity Cathy Foy Mahi Graced Danny's Stage Danny Couch and sang The "Hawaiian Wedding Song" Last Monday 6-18 while I was attending Danny's show at the Princess Kaiulani. The two of them sang in a duet of voices beautifully singing The "Hawaiian Wedding Song" complimenting each other as if two angels had graced the stage together.

Danny welcomed two magnificent singers/hula dancers/well known entertainers onstage. Ms Cathy Foy Mahi and Ramona Harris, spouse of former mayor Jeremy, was there celebrating her birthday, so Cathy Foy Mahi offered "Hanalei Moon," with Ramona getting on stage to hula. Both joined Danny in celebration, to share their talent in song and hula. Cathy's voice was magnificent and Ramona added a touch of elegance to her own birthday celebration being shared that evening at Danny's new show, with family, friends and new acquaintances made that evening!

Yesterday Wayne Harada from the Honolulu Advertiser added a paragraph to his column about Cathy's duet with Danny. Please view it at:

PERSONAL DANNY COUCH UPDATE: Vocalist Danny Couch opened his first self-produced, privately owned show at The Princess Kaiulani Hotel at 7:30 last night at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel to rave reviews. Congratulations Danny! One bit of information about Danny's show that has been somewhat over-looked is that this show is self-produced and privately owned by Danny, sponsored at the Princess Kaiulani Hotel who supplies the showroom. Everything else is Danny's dreamchild and an endevor he has been wanting to take for quite some time! From what we are hearing it's a success and his dream will be present with us for a long time.. Couldn't be happier for him. ~Lea
PERSONAL DANNY COUCH UPDATE: April 8.. Tracy from the Northern Beaches of Sydney Australia; I first met Danny at the Hyatt Waikiki when he sang with Nohelani Cipriano and her band Hotline way back in the mid 80s and have loved his music ever since. Just wondering if Danny has any memories of the album Nohelani and her band made at the time he was at the Hyatt, as I still have it. You could only buy it from them. I also have a photo taken on me at the age of about 14 with Danny at the Don Ho show which was taken about the same time. I have visited Hawaii many times since then and now travel regularly with my 2 children who are also Danny converts... I'd love Danny to say a Hi to my boys Luke and Brodie they'd believe me then that I once met this beautiful man. Good luck Danny with your flourishing career and I look forward to seeing your show on our next trip to Waikiki.. I have watched Danny grow as an indicidual and a talented performer for more than 25 years and he never fails to impress me. He is a consument performer with a voice of gold  Love Tracy

ALOHA TRACY, Mahalo nui loa for your fantastic message. I'm taking the liberty of sending it to Danny, They always lift him up. Thank you so much for contributing your comments. I make it a habit to forward messages directly to Danny and will do so with yours.

Danny wows Opening Night audience: At 7:30 sharp on Wednesday evening in the Ainahau Showroom of Princess Kaiulani Hotel, a new milestone in Waikiki entertainment was reached with the homecoming of Danny Couch.

As the lights slowly came up Danny in his ice cream white suit and his troupe brought These Islands back to Waikiki. Following this abbreviated rendition of his signature song, Danny immediately called out for requests, and delivered back to the crowd their favorite with a love and enthusiasm that was infectious.

Danny, along with his troupe of talented veteran musicians and beautiful dancers, provided more than one hour of non-stop entertainment to a crowd of island dwellers that included a sprinkling of visitors who had been lucky enough to find out about the show.

It was clear that Danny is elated to be back in the islands with this long term engagement, and spoke of building on this opening night performance to make the show even better.
Danny honored two couples of vacationers there who were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary and one couple of islanders celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and treated to the show by their children.

Midway through the show Danny made a quick costume change into his jet black suit and told of how he came to write These Islands. He had always struggled with "writers block" in composing music, but following the death of his mother on Maui, in a prayer he asked his kupuna for guidance in the best way to honor her, and this song came to him. He said he wrote it "in about 15 minutes", and then he proceeded to sing, inviting the audience to join in. Danny sang several other of his compositions but was unable to get in "Ah My Hawai'i" before the lights went down.

Plan to see this show next time you are in Waikiki.

Danny will not disappoint.

PERSONAL DANNY COUCH UPDATE: We heard from a friend/media who attended last nights performance and reported to us that Danny Wow'ed his audience once again, back onstage in his home of Waikiki. Any Surprise there? We were informed about the songs Danny has added to this show but will not report that as of yet, his show is not even off the ground and we don't want to ruin the impact since tomorrow is Danny's Official Opening. The room was filled with media and VIPs almost to the max. Danny's four beautiful dancers are outstanding and very professional onstage, a delight to the eyes and mezmorizing to watch. The effects are incredible but most of all Danny's voice is strong and true to his reputation of being the King Krooner! Truly will be THE SHOW to experience, instead of just viewing. Danny is back in Waikiki with more strength and energy than ever before. Mahalo for the update and for getting in touch!

DANNY COUCH's new Waikiki show debuts To Media April 2: News Release
Danny Couch's Public Opening Night is this coming Wednesday Evening, but he will be delighting the TV, Radio and News Broadcasters at the Media's Performance Tonight, April 2.

FANS FROM DANNY'S FAN CLUB AND FANADDISTS WEBSITE ADD:
Superstition against wishing an actor/singer Good Luck! has led to the adoption of this “BREAK A LEG” phrase in its place. Popular etymology derives the phrase from the 1865 assassination of Abraham Lincoln. John Wilkes Booth, the actor turned assassin, leapt to the stage of Ford's Theater after the murder, breaking his leg in the process. The logical connection with good luck is none too clear, but such is folklore. BREAK A LEG DANNY!
